Canine Discovery's Training Philosophy
Canine Discovery wants to help you discover the "good
dog" in your dog! We believe that living with a dog is a lifetime commitment that is made more harmonious
by understanding your dog's behavior, developing a mutually respectful relationship with your dog, and teaching your dog
how to live with your family. Good leadership and dog training are a lifestyle. You design the "rules" and Canine Discovery will teach you and your dog how to live happily within those
rules. We use a "relationship-based" approach to dog training and place an emphasis on teaching you how to connect
with your dog, rather than getting your dog to simply obey you. By communicating with your dog in the dog's own
language, your dog is better able to understand what you want and both of you will be happier! We use positive
training methods, including clicker training, and your dog's best interest is our main concern!
